A year round celebration of culture, competitions and community services
Explore a variety of cultural experiences year-round with the Italian-Australian Welfare and Cultural Centre Inc (IAWCC) as we organise a series of engaging annual events and activities. Join us for the Annual Italian Festival in May-June to celebrate the anniversary of the Italian Republic (founded on 2nd June, 1946), presenting an array of events and activities that provide a glimpse into the richness of Italian heritage. Enjoy a spectacular evening at the Annual Gala Italian National Ball and witness the captivating charm of the night sky at the Italian Fireworks Night at Gloucester Park.
Take part in friendly competition through our Italian Sweets and Wine Competitions, where flavours and aromas compete for distinction. Beyond the festivities, the IAWCC extends its services to the general public with Justice of the Peace Services, available by appointment.

Italian National Ball
The Italian National Ball is our prestigious gala event of highlight event of the year and has been organised annually since the inception of the Italo-Australian Welfare & Cultural Centre Inc (IAWCC) under the patronage of the Italian Consul in WA. This specular event marks the celebration of the anniversary of the foundation of the Italian Republic and presents a truly wonderful evening of musical entertainment, fine cuisine dining and enjoyable dancing.
This year’s Italian National Ball will be held in the Belle Vue Ballroom at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday 1st June 2025 from 6:30pm to 12 midnight.

Italian Festival
The Italian Festival is organised annually by the Italo-Australian Welfare & Cultural Centre Inc (IAWCC) during May-June, coinciding with the anniversary of the foundation of the Italian Republic on 2 June 1946. It presents of an array of activities including: Presentation of Community Awards; Italian Film Night; Wine & Sweets Competitions; School Students’ Competitions, Cultural Exhibitions, and the Italian National Gala Ball.

Italian Night at Gloucester Park
The Italo-Australian Welfare & Cultural Centre Inc (IAWCC) is proud to be affiliated in partnership with Gloucester Park in organising the annual Italian Night at Gloucester.
This events presents a wonderful evening of enjoyment for the entire family with a variety of delicious Italian food stalls, pony rides and activities for children, including a bouncy castle, and a spectacular fireworks display after the last race.
Join us for this year’s Italian Night at Gloucester Park on Friday 7 November 2025. Complimentary entrance gate family passes (each pass: 2 adults accompanied by children 17 and under) may be obtained directly from the IAWCC (209 Fitzgerald Street, Perth).

Community Services
IAWCC Justices of the Peace (JP) – Signing Centre
The service is offered to the general public at 209 Fitzgerald Street, Perth by appointment only. A Justice of the Peace is able to assist with witnessing documents which one may need to execute from time to time or on a regular basis including: Statutory Declarations; Affidavits; Certification of Copies; Enduring Powers of Attorney; Wills & Last Testaments; and other General Documents.
