Italian Australian Child Care Centre - Asilo Nido

The Italian Australian Child Care Centre was formally established by the Italo-Australian Welfare & Cultural Centre Inc in 1972. Located at 21 Barnet Street in North Perth, it is a  renowned quality bilingual (Italian-English) child care service for children aged between zero months and six years. Fees charged weekly are among the lowest in the State and prove to be very cost effective for parents. Staff members are experienced and well qualified, offering continuity of quality of service in a loving and caring environment which is conducive and nurturing to pre-school students.

Our Centre welcomes families from all walks of life in an environment that promotes the learning of the Italian language and culture within inspiring and inclusive learning spaces. We ensure that our parents, children and educators feel very secure in knowing that opportunities are provided for all children to grow and develop with a sense of belonging and community.

The curriculum taught at our child care centre embraces and respects the significance of all cultures, customs, languages and beliefs, whilst at the same time promotes an understanding of the Italian language and culture to develop an awareness of and respect for other peoples’ perspectives and different ways of life.

As one of the very few bilingual (Italian-English) child care centre in the State, our centre is very much in demand throughout the metropolitan area, attracting a market of clientele from both north and south of the river. Services also include a Kindergarten Program for 4 year old students implemented and taught in line with the guidelines of the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework and education schooling requirements.
